Saying comments like "This is why I hate clowns now", or "Pennywise is creepy" is irrelevant to the movie. When you rate a movie you talk about the subject matter, not about your insecure fear of clowns because you think they are just all rapists, abusers or pedophiles in disguise! These are common misnomers and ignorant stereotypes of the clown genre. I have known people to be clowns in Barnum and Bailey, for example, and they are some of the most decent, loving and kindest people in the world. Compared to the books, the King movies are never as good. The miniseries are usually the best because they can spend more quality time on the actually story, such as "Storm of the Century", my favorite of all his miniseries adaptions, which many people will probably never truly understand that series, which had a lot of important things to say. I want to clear one thing up about the "clown" in "It". He is NOT really a clown. He is a demonic spirit/entity. The ending was not even liked by King. I still need to ask him why he refuses to let people make his movies unless he approves of everything first beforehand to be exactly like his books, or they don't get made. I know they make money, but to me, if I write a book and you want to make a movie from my book, it better be exactly like the book, or don't bother asking me to approve it. Overall, this was ok. I never looked at clowns as creepy or bad, or labeled them because of any movie or the circus either. This is also why I would stay single in the past. Because any female who had phobias and insecurities like that are to be avoided, no offense.

You say peoples comments are irrelevant to the movie yet you go into your personal life and clown friends which in fact is irrelevant to the movie as you say.

I like that people say what's on there mind about a film they have watched. It gets people talking about why they feel that way.

Personally I think that's the whole point of this site watching movies with friends and voicing our OWN options.

You can voice whatever you like. That is freedom. It does not mean it is relevant or the truth.

This is one of the greatest adaptations of a Stephen King novel and a Horror classic. It's scary especially if you hate clowns, it's well acted, and well written.
